![]() Perhaps there's something tricky about getting certain levels or cutscene transitions to work with the FOV tweaked. While it's pretty typical for a third-person game to lack an FOV setting, it's a surprising omission here given that the remaster includes an excellent photo mode with an adjustable camera. It's not too surprising that these 15-year-old cutscenes weren't recreated in a wider aspect ratio, though. It's annoying going from full screen to black-barred cutscenes. I used to have an ultrawide, too, so I get it. I haven't tested this, but I think we can safely take the word of ultrawide owners, the PC's most vocal special interest group. Have you tried it yet? Let us know what you think."The ultrawide support doesn't include cutscenes, which are 16:9 with black bars." Furthermore, there are no real graphics options for the game, it has forced mouse acceleration, no FOV slider, etc. However, the constant changing of aspect ratios is said to be disorientating. Mass Effect Legendary Edition lacks true 21:9 support, as all cutscenes and conversations are in 16:9 pillar boxes I can understand that given the source material. The Steam version of Mass Effect Legendary Edition still launches the EA client, but it appears that quite a few users can boot the game once, then the Origin client just crashes or refuses to open from Steam we’re not sure of a fix for this issue at this time.įurthermore, Steam reviews are showing general disappointment in the lack of QOL features one would have expected from a PC remaster like this.
